Stroke
Every 45 seconds, someone in the United States suffers a stroke or "brain attack," the sudden interruption of blood flow to a portion of the brain. Stroke is the nation's third leading cause of death, and also one of the leading causes of adult disability. Over the course of a lifetime, four out of every five American families will have to deal with the devastating impact caused by stroke.
