BPH: What Every Man Should Know

Half of all men over the age of 60 and 80% of all men over the age of 80 will suffer from non-malignant prostate enlargement or Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia.  Although generally not life-threatening, BPH has a number of unpleasant symptoms that can impact a man¹s quality of life.

Do you have urinary hesitancy, flow interruption, urgency, frequency or retention?  These are classic BPH symptoms.  But did you know that today there are more treatment options than ever before?  Lifestyle changes, herbal treatments, various new drugs and different kinds of surgery are among the treatments for BPH.

BPH:  What Every Man Should Know highlights the advancements and diversity in the treatment of BPH.  This program is co-hosted by Alan W. Partin, M.D., Ph.D., Professor of Urology at Johns Hopkins Medical Institute and John McConnell, M.D., Professor and Chairman, Department of Medicine, UT Southwestern Medical Center.

This 30-minute documentary program produced as part of ITV¹s award-winning The Cutting Edge Medical Report, airs over FOX¹s The Health Nework and is made possible by unrestricted educational grants by Merck & Company and Urologix, Inc.
