Heart Attacks: Hope on the Horizon

Boca Raton, FL -   Heart disease remains the #1 cause of death in the U.S., regardless of the many new ways doctors and scientists have found to treat it and save lives.  But what if heart attacks or strokes could be prevented altogether - or at least delayed?

A worldwide clinical trial called the HOPE Trial has shown that one simple pill can prevent over one million heart attacks, strokes and deaths per year.

Who put together this massive study?  What criteria were required to be a participant?  How did it work?  And most importantly, what were the results?

HEART ATTACKS: Hope on the Horizon shows who can benefit most from this revolutionary new study.  This informative 30-minute TV special airs on The Health Network on Wednesday, February 14, 2001 at 10:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m. ET, and Sunday, February 18, at 6:30 p.m. and 1:00 a.m., and will repeat several times this year.

HEART ATTACKS: Hope on the Horizon, produced as part of ITV¹s award-winning The Cutting Edge Medical Report, is made possible by an unrestricted educational grant from Monarch (King) Pharmaceuticals. The program is co-hosted by Dr. Salim Yusuf and Dr. Hertzel Gerstein, two key HOPE Trial researchers.

The Cutting Edge Medical Report airs on The Health Network Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 10:00 PM and 1:00 AM Eastern Time, 9:00 PM and 12:00 AM Central Time, 8:00 and 11:00 PM Mountain Time, and 7:00 and 10:00 PM Pacific Time.  Weekend times are 6:30 PM and 1:00 AM Eastern time, 5:30 PM and 12:00 AM Central, 4:30 and 11:00 PM Mountain time, and 3:30 and 10:00 PM Pacific time.

The Health Network is part of the Fox Cable Networks and reaches approximately 20 million households nationwide.
