Free to Breathe
For many, breathing is a natural phenomenon that occurs without any thought whatsoever. But for millions of others with respiratory illnesses, every breath is a struggle for life. They hope that their lungs will keep working in spite of their affliction, a process they never take for granted.
Free to Breathe is a one hour, reality-style special created for public television. This documentary will allow the viewer to step inside the lives of people who are overcoming tremendous obstacles to live with and conquer their respiratory diseases. Meet courageous kids attending special camps for children with asthma, along with adults who suffer from a variety of COPDs (chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases), including emphysema, chronic bronchitis, and other diseases that impede air flow.
